At a team level the focus might be on product qualities such as useability, performance and risk reduction.
At a product level we will need to evaluate the effect of these qualities on customer behaviour and perceived worth
At a business level we would want to know that customer satisfaction leads to increased loyalty and sales.
Likewise, the values mentioned above are customer focused. We will also need to consider value from other stakeholder perspectives – team members/employees for example.
For these stakeholders the focus at a team level might be on equal voice and professional development. At a product level we will need to evaluate the extent to which this development leads to increased levels of confidence, productivity and resilience. At a business level we may want to know if this leads to increased retention, wellbeing and organisational citizenship.
Ensuring we use the disciplines of stakeholder reviews and retrospectives to understand stakeholder needs and use planning to deliver value at the team, product and business level is therefore vital
